Author’s note: When we started this, we thought we’d get messages only after a month or so, and followers other than our friends even later. But it’s been only about a week, and we have eight messages, and 4 followers. So all I can say is, to use the well know Asian expression:

WALAO!!!

So… TWILIGHT?

Twilight… hmmm… let us start with two views of Twilight!

View #1: OMG! OMG! Twilight—-is like, da best thing on da planet! Heck, its totally changed my life for the better! OhMyGod! Edward Cullen,is like the HOTTEST! They dont come ANY hotter than HIM!

View #2: Twilight? Dont talk to me about that shit, man! Twilight is like, total fakery! Shit, it’s soooo cheesy and the actors dont even express any emotion! How COULD you compare it with Harry Potter!? Urgh?

Its your choice what you choose to agree with… Twilight is the story of a human girl who falls in love with a dazzling, sparkly vampire. However, there’s the not-so-simple matter of a hairy, hunky werewold who has his shirt off most of the time… so Bella (the girl) has the choice between two ‘hot’ men. Oh, how hard her life is!

And the worst thing is (to her) she cant have…it… until she’s MARRIED! horrow of horrors T.T

And of course in order to do It, Edward the Vampire would lose control, thus, succdsfully crushing Bella…

YES…this is the basic plotline… as for Twilight pictureess….

Twilight versus Harry Potter (Jade)

This question was asked by Elina, from Kentucky, and it’s also a question that has been preying on a lot of minds recently…

Harry Potter is a long running series, spanning from 1997 (The Sorcerer’s Stone) to 2011 (Deathly Hallows II -yet to be released-). The books by JK Rowling was an instant hit, and the movies made the three young actors into Britain’s millionaires. Indeed, the female protagonist of the series, Emma Watson (as Hermione Granger) is one of Britain’s richest youths, under Keira Knightley from Pirates Of The Caribbean.

These three actors have been on the show since they were ten, and stuck with the show for around 12 years.

The show also has a habit of bringing in big names from other countries to make the show popular…

Henena Bonham Carter, a popular American mname as the quirky villain Bellatrix.

David Thewlis and Natalia Tena, famous British household names in British sitcoms and popular movies such as Black Beauty, and The Island Of DrMoreu.

The technical effects, had been one of the best in British movie history, what with the morphing into werewolf (rated in a magazine ans one of the best techs), and the trolls and ESPECIALLY the Voldemort (whom we all worship).

However, Harry Potter DOES have it’s bad points TT…Although the werewolf transformation was good, the end result looked like a cross between a sheared sheep and an eagle. It’s an insult to Proffesor Lupin.

Also, for villains, they make them good looking, even if in the book, they are supposed to be strictly not so. Eg. Lucius Malfoy, who is drop dead gorgeous (for a 40 yr old) is supposed to be haggard and thin. Bellatrix Lestrange (above) is supposed to be rotted away in prison, yet is extremely pretty (except the hair)just because Helena Bonham C is a very famous American actress.

The movies nearly never follow the books, and they increase the love innuendos for the main characters, and add scenes that never existed and cut out scenes which play a major role.

For eg. last HP and Half BloodPrince, the whole movie was about Hermione X Ron. Remus/Tonks, which had a big part in the book, was only worth a mention. However, people complained, and I think R/T will get more scenes.

However, even after all the faults, Harry Potter is still one of the highest ranking in British big-screen. Even with all the misplaced events, nearly everyone watches Harry Potter, maybe merely out of habit, or as dedicated fans (like ELina ;P), thus Harry Potter is one of the best British movies around.

It’s almost over… :)

The JabbawockeeZ is derived from the jabberwocky, a nonsensical poem by Lewis Caroll, during the beginning of the early 20th century. But this ain’t no 20th Century, and this isn’t a dragon. JabbaWockeeZ is an all-male modern dance/hip hop crew from San Diego who won the first season of the reality dance competition America’s Best Dance Crew.The JBZ of the 21st century, as I might portray them to be, are a revolutionary group. They perform inexplicably sick hip hop moves, and the b-boying is just…..indescribable ;)

I’ll say they’re revolutionary, because I believe they are forming a change in the industry. Usually a dance crew will dance and perform with music amid plenty beats, good flow, and of course energetically hyped movements. But the wockeez do something unique and different every single time they hit the stage. It’s sensational. They take plenty of chances. Performing to a mastermix of Apologize by Timbaland featuring OneRepublic that also featured “Building Steam with a Grain of Salt” by DJ Shadow, on ABDC the Jabbawockeez received unanimous praise from the judges. Shane Sparks described it as “beautiful” and likened the group to a “Boyz II Men” of hip-hop dance for their ability to hit every emotional note. JC praised them for taking a risk by choosing to dance to a slow song. Unique eh?

Not only that but the creativity is oozing :P Wockeez chose to storytell through their dance. Metaphorically speaking, every dancer tells a story with their dance….buuut…I meant this one LITERALLY.They even took the risk of putting choreography second to the storytelling competiton in one ABCD challenge.You won’t see much dancers these days willing to take that chance. Shane, who declared that JabbaWockeeZ had “set the standards for the next ten seasons” of America’s Best Dance Crew, and that if future crews on the show did not bring the same level as Jabbawockeez, they were better off staying at home. True True. Have you seen them dance?!!!! It’s amay-friggin-zing :|

Watch it for yourself, and cut down on the jaw-dropping :P

Since winning ABDC, the group has gained greater exposure by appearing in various music videos and commercials, touring internationally, and performing with Shaquille O’ Neal at the 2009 NBA All-Star Game But they don’t let this fame, chicks and cash get to them, because they still, like ALWAYS dance with their white masks and gloves on, not only because they wanna look IN SYNC (which they already do…hahas) but in order to encourage audiences to focus on their movements as a group instead of on individual dancers.
